Yorkville's Wrigley Employees Care!
| |
Employees from Wrigley Manufacturing Company in Yorkville volunteered their time to work on a beatification project for the Oswego Family YMCA. The annual "Day of Caring" involved planting shrubs, bushes and landscaping the outside of the YMCA building.
Y Executive Director Brent Finlay told us that many members noticed, welcomed and appreciated the improvements.
Thank you Wrigley employees for making a difference! |
| ComEd Gives Back! | |
Exelon employees, Porf Ibarra and Tawana Brady present a check for $15,000.00 from ComEd to Sheriff's Pat Perez and Dick Randall, Campaign Co-chairs, at our recent 8th annual cardboard boat race at Aurora's Phillips Park. The check represents ComEd's corporate contribution to our 2010 fundraising campaign. Fox Valley United Way would like to thank ComEd for their continued support! |
| New Board Members Announced | We're pleased to note that the three newest members of our Board of Directors represent major Fox Valley companies:
· Matthew Parker is senior vice president and head of retail, online banking and customer service at Aurora-headquartered Old Second National Bank. An advocate for seriously and terminally ill children, and others in need of assistance, Matt donates an estimated 500 hours of volunteer time to local organizations each year.
· Tawana Brady is an award-winning Exelon United Way Campaign Chair who manages the utility's workplace giving campaigns. Tawana won the prestigious Francis Wisebart Jacobs Award from United Way of Metropolitan Chicago for outstanding leadership in directing and managing Exelon's United Way campaigns.
Nicor is represented by Thomas Kallay, senior community relations director. Tom's commitment is evidenced by the fact that he has more than 10 years of active participation in west suburban philanthropic organizations. A former Board president of Loaves and Fishes Community Pantry, Tom also serves on CASA Kane County Chairman's Advisory Board. |
