Veterans Day Jeep
1942 Ford Jeep GPW

1942 Ford Jeep GPW

This 1951 Nash Ambassador was recently donated by  Carole Renner and her late husband John R. Renner.  They were from Nevada and both worked at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside California.

There was a parade in Oceanside and the Grand Marshal was to be Major General Murray.  To honor General Murray, John and some fellow Marines from the base sanded this car down and painted it green then put stickers on it that said USMC and a star on the door

The car was then used to transport the Major General in the parade and he loved it.

The AACA Museum  is honored to offer our Veteran's complimentary admission to the Museum on Veteran's Day.

We thank you for your service to our country.

We will also have a couple special vehicles on view:

A 1942 Ford Jeep GPW (general purpose design Willys).  The demand for jeeps in World War II was so great, Ford and Willys were contracted to mass produce these Jeeps for military use. Production for these vehicles ended in 1945 at the end of the war.

COME ON IN. Enjoy the special vehicles - YOU DESERVE A FUN DAY.
