AACA Museum - Keep Up To Speed

August 3, 2015

National Night Out
Tuesday, August 4, 2015

We're looking forward to supporting our local Union Deposit Volunteer Fire Company to celebrate National Night Out from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.      The event will be held at Meadows Marketplace along Route 39 (277 Hershey Road) just past the AACA Museum.

"National Night Out is a great event that helps us build a relationship with our residents and local businesses and helps to create safer neighborhoods. This is one of the events we look forward to each year." Stated Nate Eshenour, Fire Chief.

The AACA Museum will be showcasing our 1941 Lincoln Zephyr Ambulance and our 1966 Plymouth Fury II Police Car to support this event.

The event serves as an opportunity for all National Night Out participants to meet public safety leaders.  All activities are free, family-friendly and promote community pride and safety.

Along with having apparatus on site from Union Deposit, the following organizations participating: the Dauphin County Hazardous Materials Response Team, Lower Swatara Fire Company will be bringing their Smoke House Trailer.  Pennsylvania State Police will have a squad car and a state trooper on hand.  There will also be a Bounce Challenge House and a Dunk Tank coming.

There will be a representative coming from Ident-A-Kid.  Ident-A-Kid makes child ID cards to provide parents and law enforcement with crucial information should your child become lost or missing. Their driver's license-like card contains your child's photograph, fingerprint and description. Parents keep this card or the eKid-ID with them at all times in case of an emergency.  This is being sponsored by The McCulley's Insurance Group and Encompass Insurance.

More than 37 million people across the country are expected to participate in National Night Out activities. For more information about the 32nd anniversary of National Night Out, visit www.natw.org or call 1-800-NITE OUT.

For more information on the event please contact Amanda Eshenour, Fire Prevention Chair at (717-319-5623).
