The AACA Museum is Throwing it "Way Back" at this Year's CARnival Car Show

 

Hershey, PA (June 17, 2015) ---All makes and models of vehicles will be turning out on the lawn at The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum's 20th annual CARnival Car Show and Flea Market on Saturday, June 20 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.This year's CARnival Car Show will feature a
special exhibit area for the Station Wagon - a vehicle that many will remember for sitting in the "way back" during their younger days!

 

Have a car you want to share? Registrations are available the day of the show from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon.  Spectators can enjoy the day from 9-3 with special fun activities for the whole family! With so much to take in, you can recover some energy by enjoying the food provided by on site vendors, or you can bring your own picnic lunch and tailgate.

 

Schedule of Events

9AM - 3 PM

Car Show on the grounds @ 100-200 vehicles expected (Registration begins @ 8 AM) Register your car for $15 Day of Show, Car Finger Painting, Photo Stop - Stop by and get your picture taken in antique bike or antique car. Games for kids and adults - Win prizes while supplies last

Food Concession vendors - Pay as you go

 

9AM - 1PM                         

Valve Cover Racing - Unlimited practice until race at 1 PM.

 

10AM - 2 PM          

Phantom Drag Strip - Race your friend around the inflated drag strip. Who will bring home the checkered flag!

Race Car Wheel Changing Competition - The first to take of a tire and put another on using a compressed air impact wrench wins!

Behind the Scenes Tours- Schmidt Collection Storage Building - by      Donation

Once you've enjoyed the show field of cars, come inside the Museum for some fabulous special exhibits "A Family Affair: Station Wagons","Motorbikes for the Masses","Automotive Jewelry" photography exhibit by Artist Michael Furman and opening on Saturday the 30th Anniversary "Back to the Future" tribute car and exhibit!   We're even lowering the admission price as a special for Saturday only: $10 for Adults, $9 for Seniors (61+ years) and $7 for Juniors (4-12 years).   Children3 & under and current AACA Members are always FREE. The AACA Museum is the ultimate Father's Day weekend activity!

 

About the AACA Museum

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1890s - 1980s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco.   This Museum, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is known to be one of the largest automotive museums. Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles. The Museum is in South Hanover Township, located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive, Hershey, Pennsylvania. Regular admission $12, seniors age 61 and older $11, juniors age 4-12 $9, children age 3 and under and AACA Members are FREE. The Museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
