Whew! It's been a very busy holiday season so far this year!
The original Ernie's Taxi from the holiday favorite "It's a Wonderful Life" is on view here at the AACA Museum through January 4th, but we took it on the road to The Hershey Theatre on November 23rd for the performance with Karolyn Grimes, the girl who played ZuZu in the film. It was a fun reunion.
This same weekend we participated in the Harrisburg Holiday Parade with five of the AACA Museum vehicles driving the on-air personalities for WHTM ABC 27 news.
The AACA Museum hosted the 50 Years of Hess Toy Truck Mobile Museum on November 30th with hundreds of visitors getting to enjoy this great traveling time capsule of Hess Toy Trucks. Michael C. Anthony from WROZ Rose radio was on site to welcome WROZ Rose radio listeners. It was a fantastic day for all who where able to attend.
We hosted our first every Polar Express Pajama Party with lots of kids and parents enjoying this wonderful holiday movie, the model train exhibits throughout the museum, some fun snacks and a visit from Santa!
The Hershey Community Chorus was with us for two holiday shows on December 7th.
Several AACA Museum staff members took part in stuffing personal care bags with the Hershey-Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau which will be delivered to Veterans over the holidays. We were honored to be able to help give back to the community and enjoyed a fun morning with other local businesses who also took part in this project.
