Vintage Race Car Conditioning Run (Friday, October 10)

The Race Car Conditioning Run is part of the ritual that is Hershey Meet Week. This year, there are 33 race cars registered for this unique event including oval track, sports cars, dragsters, Indy cars and motorcycles.

"All of the cars in the event are historically correct and certified authentic race cars, and they are amazing to witness," shared this year's Conditioning Run announcer Fred Sherk. "Even the executive director of the AACA is getting into the act this year with his 1941 Olds Special!"

"There is a 75 year history of race cars driving around the Hershey Stadium, starting with the midget car races during the depression. Today, Hershey is one of the only places where spectators still get to see these cars in action," explained David Kisthardt, Hershey Region Race Car Chairman for the Meet. "Do not miss one of this year's most significant registered race cars - a 1914 Mercedes!"

 held at Hershey Lodge

American Classics Set to Shine at RM's Annual Hershey Sale

RM Auctions returns to the Hershey Lodge, October 9 - 10, for its highly anticipated eighth annual Hershey sale. A popular fixture on the global collector car calendar, the auction is a featured attraction of the AACA Eastern Division Fall meet, and is set to lift the gavel on an impressive roster of more than 160 automobiles, two boats and select memorabilia.

In addition to the presentation of two prominent private collections, the sale offers a number of standout American Classics, including a 1933 Chrysler CL Imperial Dual-Windshield Phaeton by LeBaron. One of just 17 remaining examples, of which a handful have been restored, the Imperial represents Chrysler's ultimate aesthetic statement of the Classic Era. Displayed at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 2004 following a highly detailed restoration, the recently serviced Chrysler is a stunning, wonderful driving example of these rare coachbuilt automobiles.

Complete details on the Chrysler and all lots in the sale are available in the official digital catalog: http://www.rmauctions.com/digitalcatalogs/2014/HF14/. Register to bid today at www.rmauctions.com or speak with an RM specialist toll free at 1 800 211 4371 (+1 519 352 4575 outside North America).
