CAMPS Requests Provider Assistance Please let us know if the SAR Denials by ACS are impacting you.
|
CAMPS wants to hear from providers who are experiencing problems with ACS' inability to read the entire number of units on the SARs (i.e. the SAR is for 12 Units, 12 Units are billed, 11 are paid and the 12th one is denied for 'No Units Available'). This problem seems to be hitting multiple counties across the State, so it does not appear to be a county issue, but more of a claim processing one. CAMPS has requested assistance, as CCS providers across the State have continued to be denied for services since last fall, due to an error in ACS' system.
The 'erroneous denials for insufficient units on a SAR' issue was brought up to ACS in March 2012, at the Annual CAMPS Convention and complete documentation was provided by a CAMPS member in order for ACS to research the problem. The communication on the issue has been on-going about the problem, but no resolution has been reached.
Since the issue has been ongoing for nine months with most providers continuing to support CCS the situation has reached a level of financial hardship. Therefore, CAMPS is seeking members who have experienced this issue to participate on a conference call, date and time to be determined, to request the Department's immediate attention.
If you have an interest in participating in the call, please e-mail gpeterson@amgroup.us and more information will be provided to you.
