Introduction to Lomi Lomi
With Oceanna
Sunday, July 14th, 2013 ~ 9:00-4:00 p.m.
Tuition: $125.00
Lomi Lomi means to "weave together". A Lomilomi session combines breath, intention and bodywork to assist in alignment of the emotional and body systems with greater guidance, through ceremony, prayer, and the Ha breath. Lomilomi addresses the attitude of the giver by strengthening mana and focus. Lomilomi offers a Kahi Loa (light touch) approach to the body, moving thru fluid strokes into deeper work, weaving the rhythm of dance through the session. The intention of the session is to "raise frequency"... that is to lift the breath, circulation, thought, and body systems to a greater harmonic of Awareness, Relaxation and Wholeness. In this one-day introduction, participants will learn:
- the Ha breath;
- exercises to strengthen your body/mind focus;
- how to match rhythms with your client;
- Ka Lele, meaning flight, which is a session dance pattern; and
- a demonstration of a 90 minute session protocol.
Oceanna brings 13 years of practice into her Lomilomi trainings. Living on the islands in deep transition points, her association with the aina and teachers there have been profound. As an artist, dancer, and bodyworker, the sense of beauty in space and presentation is considered an important piece of Lomilomi. This practice is my meditation and joy of offering. "Come, hele mai, I would love to dance with you."
Please call 805.648.6204 to attend.
