NREL is one of 5 Department of Energy Labs to offer Small Business Vouchers through a new public-private partnership to connect clean energy innovators across the country with the top-notch scientists, engineers, and world-class facilities at our national laboratories. Vouchers are awarded through a competitive process and provide winning businesses with access to lab expertise and tools that can help them test, validate, and introduce new products, expand their businesses, and grow the clean energy sector.
The next round of applications is expected to open in July 2016. Individual vouchers range from $50,000 to $300,000 per business and allow the labs to assist small businesses developing specific clean energy technologies in the following areas: advanced manufacturing, buildings, vehicles, wind, water, bioenergy, fuel cells, geothermal and solar. For more information visit the Small Business Voucher website which fully outlines more than 60 unique lab capabilities small businesses can access.
