Photonics companies can qualify for Colorado's
 Innovative Industries Internship Program funding
CPIA now recruiting member participants

(BOULDER) - Does your company have an established internship program? Could your business benefit from hiring an intern to help you make faster progress while training the next generation of a skilled workforce? The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) can help!

Colorado Photonics Industry Association has teamed up with CDLE to recruit businesses to take advantage of a new state-funded internship program. The Colorado Innovative Industries Internship Program is designed to encourage employers to provide paid on-the-job training to students interested in pursuing careers in specific high tech industries, including photonics and electronics. This program, established with the enactment of House Bill 15-1230, provides funding for 90 internships annually for five years, with reimbursement grants up to $5,000 per intern. Internships require a minimum of 130 on-the-job training hours and must be completed in less than six months. Click here for additional details regarding the program and eligibility.
