1. Advanced Industry Grant Winners Announced

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced grantees for the Advanced Industry Accelerator Grant Program. A total of $1,773,938 will be awarded for both Proof-of-Concept and Early Stage Capital and Retention Grants to support Colorado's advanced industries. This was the second largest number of applications to date, with 70 total applications.

 

KMLabs received $200,000 in an "early stage capital & retention" grant. KMLabs is the technology leader for high power, highest performance femtosecond laser systems, and the market definer for coherent EUV and x-ray sources. This project is based on recently developed fiber laser technology that has proven to be ideal for several large markets in bioscience and electronics

2.    Third Grant Cycle Open -Colorado Advanced Industry Grants

Proposals Due March 2

 

OEDIT is now accepting applications for the third grant cycle of the Advanced Industries Accelerator grant programs for fiscal year 2015. Online applications are being accepted for Proof of Concept grants and Early-Stage Capital & Retention grants. Applications are due March 2, 2015.

  

Proof of Concept grants are open to Colorado research universities, federal labs located in Colorado, and other labs with valid technology transfer offices. These grants are for pre-commercialization research and commercialization preparation. Grants up to $150,000 will be awarded.

  

Early-Stage Capital & Retention grants fund companies commercializing innovative technologies to create viable products that meet a market need and can be created or manufactured in Colorado and exported globally. Grants up to $250,000 will be awarded.
