Boys and Girls District Basketball Tournament Starts Saturday
The boys and girls district basketball tournament begins Saturday. Nixa girls will play their first game against Neosho on Monday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. Nixa boys will play their first game against Neosho on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m.

2017-18 Kindergarten Screening and Registration
2017-18 Kindergarten Screening and Registration

Kindergarten Roundup Screening and Registration will be March 28 to March 30 at the Community Room behind Faught Administration Center, 301 S. Main Street (please park behind Faught Administration Center and enter through the Community Room doors).  

New Students to Nixa enrolling in kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year.
  • Beginning February 13 parents will be able to complete the on-line registration and schedule your appointment to attend Kindergarten Screening and Registration.  The links to complete the registration and schedule your appointment will be available on February 13 at www.nixakindergarten.net

Current Nixa Early Learning Center & Early Childhood Center Students that will be attending kindergarten in the 2017-18 school year.
  • Beginning February 13 you will be able to complete the on-line registration and schedule your appointment to attend Kindergarten Screening and Registration.  You will receive an email the first week of February with log-in information to sign up for Kindergarten Screening and Registration.  The links to complete the registration and schedule your appointment will be available on February 13 at www.nixakindergarten.net

Kindergarten Screening will take 60-90 minutes. To help make the screening and registration process easier, many parents have found it beneficial to make child care arrangements for any siblings.

School Spotlight: Espy Students Help School Recycle



Espy students have been busying helping make sure the school recycles.
Mathews Students Develop A Landscaping Plan for Area Around FEMA Gym 
Mathews students in Mandi Williams' class are researching and developing a plan to put landscaping in front of the FEMA gym. Students have contacted landscapers to visit and look at the area to give them advice. The students will present their final project plans to a group of teachers before spring break. After break, students will obtain supplies and begin working on the actual landscaping.
