November CRAFT Board Meeting Report
The CRAFT Board met this week and had a lively discussion.  
  • American Craft Week reports that over 1,000 celebrations took place across the country, up 400% from the first year!  On to planning 2013.
  • Looked closely at the outline for CRAFT and ACRE's educational program The Summit at ACRE in April with high-powered speakers.
  • The CRAFT Board will meet for it's only face to face meeting on February 15 before the start of BMAC in Philly.
  • CRAFT will host a Networking Social at BMAC on Sunday, February 17 from 6-7 PM.
  • The program with NYIGF to expand wholesale sales of American handmade is proceeding well, planning what can be unrolled in January and then built on for August, 2013.  
  • Look for Board election ballots by email in January. 
  • The Board created an ad hoc Audit Committee to ensure that CRAFT is complying with all IRS rules and best practices.
