On Wednesday April 09, 2015 at 5.00 p.m. a huge contingent of employees from the financial sector is expected to converge at the Queen's Park Savannah in the annual CariFin Games 1 Lap Savannah event. This is the 23rd Edition of this event that brings the members of the financial services sector together for an exciting evening of fun, fitness and friendship.
Running gear will replace office wear to see who has the skill and speed to cover the 2.28 miles Savannah the fastest.

Over 10 of the top financial institutions will come together in one place, where institutions will be identified by their colours and logos. Teams get to meet their colleagues from other institutions who they may have only interacted with on the phone. A number of institutions have re-branded and have made changes to their design or colour and this is the opportune time to show off their new uniforms.
Rebranded Guardian Group their new bright orange will no doubt draw a lot of attention. Giselle Lue Sue McCarthy, team captain says, "We are excited to show our new colours and we have new members who will be at the games for the first time."

It will be a very interesting evening of competition as past Cross Country winner, John Donaldson has indicated he expects to finish in the top th ree. With the 2013 male winner Simon Kalechstein not entering, third place finisher in the Cross Country Rashad Blenman of Guardian Group could very well be in line for top honours in these games. On a regular day, his steely determination is usually hidden behind a cool demeanor and sense of humour, but when in competition mode, especially during last year's Carifin Games, he has used it to pull off some unexpected performances.

Among the women it will be interesting to see who will take first position as last year's number one female runner Wendy D'arbasie of Central Bank will sit out 2014 and miss the chance of making history with three straight wins and legendary status in CariFin. An unfortunate circumstance has denied her that opportunity and privilege. It will be no surprise if third place Lavern Evelyn of Scotiabank rushes to the front and takes the honours. In general, the women's category is ready to unfold with excitement and promise as the best of the financial sector come together to compete for the CariFin King and Queen in the Queen's Park Savannah One Lap event.

CariFin Games will have the services of the popular Jaguar timing system in the Games for the first time as we change providers. This new addition to CariFin promises to be a game changer on the evening of the One Lap Savannah as the manager of the company Ray Miller says he can't wait to set up his system and have us enjoy some cool features from the Jaguar system.
