Eucharist Coming Friday

Just a reminder that ESK will be celebrating Holy Eucharist in honor of John Henry Hobart this coming Friday, Sept. 12, at 8:00 and 10:20 a.m. in the Kline Gymnasium for Lower School and Googe Hall for Middle School. Junior Kindergarten will celebrate Eucharist in their classroom at 9 a.m. Family and friends are always welcome to attend. Formal uniforms are required for all students.

Pep Rally Moved to September 25

The Purple and White Day, along with the Pep Rally, originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3, has been moved to Thursday, Sept. 25, due to a field trip in the Middle School. The pep rally will be held from 2:30-3:00 in the Kline Gymnasium to celebrate the fall sports teams. Purple and White Day uniform guidelines were included in the September 4 and August 28 edition of Headlines.

Vienna Coffee Fundraiser

The ESK Parents' Association launched its annual fundraiser last week. This year, the PA is joining with Vienna Coffee to create a simple stream of monthly revenue for the ESK PA and, at the same time, show support of a local coffeehouse!

Here's how it works:

Eighty percent of the parents at ESK drink at least 1-2 cups of coffee each day. Why not have those coffee drinking habits help support our school and our students! Instead of buying coffee from the local grocery or Starbucks, you can now buy the highest quality coffee from www.viennacoffeeco.com and $3.00 from every bag of coffee purchased will be given back to the school. If you, your spouse, or your company, are coffee drinkers, this is a great opportunity to buy coffee AND SUPPORT ESK.

Go to www.viennacoffeeco.com and support ESK PA today! Click here for video with step-by-step directions for ordering. If you have any questions, please contact PA President Katherine Fielden at  kikifielden@gmail.com.

Sleepers in September Drive

Girl Scout Troop 20450 is conducting the Sleepers in September drive to benefit the local charity Newborns in Need. TOMORROW is the last day to donate sleepers (pajamas with feet) to donate to newborns in our area. Many of the donations will benefit babies in area hospital neo-natal intensive care units. The sleepers must be new, in sizes preemie - 18 months. The greatest need is for preemie, newborn and 0-3 month sizes. Items may be dropped off in bins located in the Lower School, Middle School and near the Dining Hall. Partnering with Troop 20450 for this service project are Junior Kindergarten students who are making thoughtful cards to accompany the donated sleepers. We would appreciate your support in this inaugural effort. If you have any questions, please contact Kimberly Stapleton at ecokim1970@gmail.com.
