This week's CSA share possibilities:
(you can click on the variety name to learn more, then click on the vegetable for storage and preparation tips!)

Dear Katchkie Farm CSA Members,
As they say, all good things - even CSA seasons - must come to an end.
With the exception of some of our bi-weekly members who will receive shares next week, this is sadly the last round of CSA distribution for 2015. Over the course of the past twenty-two weeks we've had such an amazing time interacting with you, our Katchkie Farm community.
But, despite what the calendar would lead us to believe, the farm isn't quite done yet. Because of the warm weather, our fields are still flush with green, and our greenhouses powered by leftover Great Performances cooking oil are bursting with tender salad leaves. In preparation for the upcoming frost, we've spent much of the past few weeks on various food preservation projects and storing hearty vegetables like beets, onions, and carrots. Rumor even has it that Bob and Kristy are planning a trip down South to work on their tans and recharge their batteries.

From all of us at the farm, we hope that you have a safe and delicious holiday season. See you in 2016!

You're Invited to our End of Season Shindig!
Friday, November 13
Mae Mae Cafe
68 Vandam Street
New York, NY 10013
5 - 8 PM

All season long we've hauled, cleaned, chopped, prepped, cooked, and eaten
vegetables. Time to celebrate the end of the season and show off our chops at the Katchkie Farm End of CSA Season Shindig.

We'll have a few dishes and libations to go around, but we invite you to bring a dish to share - if you wish! Beer and wine will be provided by Great Performances.

Farmer Bob and Kristy will be at the party to talk shop and meet you all!

We can't wait to taste what you've been creating in your kitchens all season.
