Dear Katchkie Farm CSA Members,

Welcome to November! As we approach the end of our current growing season we are already starting to plan for 2016. Yesterday you received an email for our end of season survey. If you haven't already, please take a few moments to fill it out to receive an exclusive Katchkie Farm CSA Thanksgiving E-Cookbook! Your comments are incredibly important to creating an even better 2016 season.
Today's farm update comes from the desk of our talented farmer Bob.
"I was going to write about the cold dark mornings, frosty plants, and how all that affects our daily routine. At this time of the year we usually work indoors until it's light outside and the sun has thawed the plants.
"But that's all changed. This morning it was 45 degrees at 7 am. AHHH the extra hour of sunrise, this is so welcomed. By this Friday we will have all the fall storage crops harvested and stashed away in the very full coolers. Only the odd rows of cold hardy greens like spinach, broccoli rabe, and mustard greens will be left in the field.
"Tomato trellises are out and stacked, the irrigation equipment is rolled up, our plows have been cleaned and painted, and if all goes well, we'll get new plastic covering on the greenhouses before the cold rolls in and we have to don our hoodies and jackets.
Until next time,
Farmer Bob"

We'll have a few dishes and libations to go around, but we invite you to bring a dish to share - if you wish! Beer and wine will be provided by Great Performances.

We can't wait to taste what you've been creating in your kitchens all season!
