The new XSLATE D10 from Xplore Technologies is a fully rugged Android tablet, purpose-built for rugged industries such as public safety, utilities, transportation, manufacturing and distribution. The XSLATE D10 pushes the boundaries of what is available today on Android devices, meeting and exceeding the needs of customers across various vertical industries. The XSLATE D10 runs on a powerful Intel Bay Trail E3845 Quad Core 1.91GHz processor, 5.1 Android Lollipop operating system, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. The XSLATE D10 weighs only 2.4 pounds, providing customers with a sleek, thin, and easy to transport design. The rugged XSLATE D10 offers a full set of ports that cannot be found on other Android devices, including two USB 3.0 ports, RJ-45 wired Ethernet port, and an optional HDMI input, ideal for Telco/Cable workers performing on-site diagnostics. This XSLATE D10 tablet has been MIL STD-810G tested with a five foot drop test. It also has an IP-65 ingress rating so the device is safe against both dust and water. The XSLATE D10 is engineered to protect critical data under the most demanding conditions including heavy rain, blowing sand and dust, continuous vibration, temperature extremes, and more. The user-replaceable main battery remains at a capacity of 39 watt-hours and a battery life of up to 8 hours, and an optional external add-on battery that allows hot-swapping and boosts battery life to a full 20 hours. The XSLATE D10 comes with many optional features including NFC module, HDMI input, WWAN 4G LTE, second battery, and a 1D/2D barcode scanner. The XSLATE D10 has a vibrant, outdoor and wide-viewable display for outdoor applications. This rugged D10 tablet has a capacitive display that can be controlled with a fingertip, and used effortlessly when the screen is wet or while the user is wearing gloves. Xplore offers a very wide range of optional accessories for the Xslate D10, including a desktop dock, car mount, carrying strap, and an external keyboard and stand that allows this tablet to function as a 2-in-1 laptop.
