The Trimble Kenai fully rugged tablet is an all-in-one computing solution that can transport a user's office to the field, job site, or vehicle. The Kenai is an ideal mobile computing solution for transportation, public safety, field service, forestry, utilities, mapping, insurance, and other outdoor or service related applications who utilize large forms, and color-coded information such as technical specifications.

The Kenai features the Windows 10 Professional operating system, and a large 10.1 inch Corning Gorilla Glass, capacitive multi-touch screen display that is capable of full-color images, even when standing in direct sunlight. It is powered by a 1.46GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor to run software applications fast and reliably, plus a choice of 4GB or 8GB of DDR3 DRAM, and up to 256GB solid state drive.

The hot-swappable battery provides users with uninterrupted hours of run-time, allowing the tablet to go from shift to shift, therefore, increasing productivity. The Kenai tablet is expandable via two USB 2.0 slots, and for connections to many industrial and manufacturing machines, the Kenai tablet also includes a serial port. Standard features include integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, and  an 8 megapixal camera with LED flash for video and photos.

The Trimble Kenai comes standard with an integrated GPS Receiver, and antenna supporting several ancillary GNSS protocols, providing accuracy in the range of 6 to 13 feet, making it ideal for data collection in applications such as distributed asset management, fleet logistics, and more. The Kenai tablet is fully cloud-capable and provides optional 4G LTE GSM data module capability. In addition, the Kenai supports connecting an external GPS antenna and cable that can be utilized when users are on foot or inside a vehicle.

The Kenai tablet meets MIL-STD-810G military standards for drops, vibration and humidity; and with an IP65 rating, it is protected against dust and water.
