Calling all future marketers, event planners and strategists....
The Walton High School Foundation is now accepting applications for our newly created Student Leadership Council. The students will work together and with the Foundation to create and implement marketing strategies and plan activities that benefit Walton High School. The Foundation is organizing Walton's Amazing Race, based on the popular TV show. It will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016. It will be followed by a wellness fair in Raider Valley. The students applying to this council will begin by helping us plan this event. We anticipate that the students will donate 4-6 hours of their time over the summer. They will also help us with other activities for Walton throughout the year. Fifteen (15) students from each grade will be chosen. If your student is interested in applying, please click here. The applications are due by May 13th.
In addition to receiving hands-on experience in team work, community building and marketing, students will also receive community service hours.

The Foundation is an iTunes Affiliate Program Member!
What is the Affiliate Program?
The Affiliate Program allows you to earn commissions by linking to iTunes content like music, apps, books and more. The Affiliate Program enables you to place links to songs, albums, artists, apps and more on your website, app or emails. You can earn a commission on all qualifying revenue generated by affiliate links.
The Foundation will use these funds to enhance technology at Walton. Two goals we have for next year's technology improvements include: increasing the number of loaner iPads for student use and purchasing charging lockers for the iPads for student use.
If you and your family are already purchasing items from iTunes, we ask that you consider following this link to make your future app purchases and this link to purchases books. Together, we can Make A Difference.
Additionally, next year we will feature the different apps being used by our students with articles highlighting the apps. The articles will be provided by various teachers and explain how they are using the apps in their classroom to enhance instruction.

Thanks to the families who have purchased bricks for themselves, their children or for a coach/team, Raider Valley is getting a new look. Your donations are enhancing the appearance of Raider Valley, as well as improving technology at Walton.
