Because of you...our Kroger Rewards check increased 78%!

Your participation in the Kroger & Publix Reward Programs truly makes a difference.  It is easy and it is FREE!

By increasing our households participating in the Kroger Rewards program by just 16 families, we increased our rewards check by almost 80% to $924.07.

Imagine what we could do if we increased our participation by another 80 families...we could increase the money available for our Faculty Grant program by as much as 400%!  All you have to do is link your Kroger card to WHSF.  In addition, the Foundation will receive $100 for completing the 2015 Sign-Up Challenge.

Please click here to sign up for Kroger Rewards and/or stop by the front desk to pick up a Publix key dangler.

For every 100 new families who register their cards, the Walton Faculty Grant program will receive $100!

As 2016 Begins.......

We look forward to completing our goals for the 2015-16 school year.

In the coming months, we would like to:

1)  continue to increase our parental support. Our goal for the upcoming Class Size Reduction Campaign is 80% participation.  If we reach 80%, we may qualify for corporate grants, which could help supply state-of-the-art equipment in our classrooms, science labs, theater and gymnasium.

2) retain/hire at least FIVE part-time teachers for the 2016-17 school year.  To hire five part-time teachers requires at least $210K in donations. We have already received contributions totaling $35K, so we need to raise another $175K.  If we had 1400 Walton families give just $125, we could meet this goal and achieve over an 80% participation rate for the year.

3) celebrate a successful 1st Annual Dinner & Auction, which will help kick-off our Class Size Reduction Campaign that will run from March 1 - March 31.  To learn more about the Dinner & Auction, please click here.

4) sell another 300 bricks to help us purchase portable hot spots to enhance connectivity within the current building.

5)  expand the iPads available for student checkout from 10 to 50.   To help stretch the donations received, we will be purchasing a refurbished and warrantied iPad Air 2 for every $350 donated towards the "Say 'YES!' To An iPad In Every Classroom" campaign.

The Walton High School Foundation provides a distinct and essential role in improving the quality of student education by supporting teachers and administrators, providing up-to-date technology and supplies, and reducing class sizes in core curriculum subject areas to enhance student achievement.

We look forward to working with you in the coming months to secure the funding necessary to provide the academic excellence so important to our students.

Thank you for your continued support!

  Mark your calendar for
Tuesday, February 2nd at 9:30am for our third
Quarterly Coffee Roundtable.

We are pleased to have some teachers joining Principal McNeill at this event to offer their insight into the exciting changes happening at Walton High School.

The iPad initiative is in full swing this semester, so wouldn't you like to know exactly how it is benefiting your student? If so, don't miss the teacher demonstration on how the iPads are being integrated into their class.

We will also be kicking off our Spring campaign for class size reduction.  Come learn from a Walton teacher how having an additional five students in the classroom affects curriculum and instruction.  And, as always, you will have the opportunity to participate in a lively Q&A with the teachers and Mrs. McNeill.
