We will continue to support this effort throughout the school year.  If you are interested in contributing and have not yet had a chance to donate, click here here or visit Zeal Kitchen and Bar, who has agreed to give Walton 5% of their profits over the next 60 days to help us provide iPads for the Walton Faculty.  For more information regarding Zeal's sponsorship of the program, follow this link.

Foundation Offers Naviance Informational Sessions for Parents

WHS has adopted the Naviance System this year to assist our students and parents in the college application process.  Naviance is a delivery system and a college/career search engine. Walton Students will use Naviance for transcript requests, teacher/counselor recommendations, college visit registration, scholarship information, and documentation of Community Service Hours. Since the school year began, the
Counseling Department has been working with students to assist them in setting up their student account and will continue this process until each student account is active.  Parents are also encouraged to set up a Parent account to monitor their student's e-Documents and to explore the incredible resources for choosing a college and career available through the Naviance system.

The WHS Foundation will be offering Informational Sessions for Parents during the week of Sept. 14th.

Click here to register for one of the 30 minute sessions:  Naviance Family Connections.

Parents.....Save-the-date!!

Learn more about the iPad and the many apps it has available to support your student.  Apple will be hosting parent meetings in the Walton theater on the following dates:

10/12 @ 6:30 pm, 10/19 @ 6:30 pm & 10/22 @ 6:30 pm.

More information about the meetings will be available in the "411" in the coming weeks.

Would you like to get involved with the Foundation?
We are in search of an enthusiastic, fun-loving crew to join us on the very 1st Walton Foundation Dinner & Auction Committee!   Please email Heena Patel and let her know you are ready to get down for the Western themed throw down.  Or maybe you have a vacation home in the mountains or at the beach that you would be willing to donate for a weekend or a week?  Or you are a business owner, with something you could donate to help the Foundation raise money for the school. There are many ways to help.  Feel free to contact Heena to discuss all the opportunities.

Spotted!  Are you proudly displaying your WHSF Magnet?

Please be sure to proudly display your 2016 WHSF Magnet on your vehicle as we will be holding random "Spot the Magnet" contests throughout the fall.  We will take a photo of your license plate and magnet and post it in the "411."

The T-Shirt Design Contest Winner will be announced next week

Check back next week to preview the exciting new design for the t-shirt the Foundation will be selling this fall.  The profits from the sales of the t-shirt will fund framing for student artwork at Walton and a scholarship the Foundation will be sponsoring this spring for a deserving Walton student.
