Thank You!

On behalf of the entire Walton High School Foundation, administration, students and staff, we would like to thank you for your support of the Foundation's 2015 Campaign "Giving our Students A Strong Foundation." Because of your generosity, the WHS Foundation was able to provide five part-time teachers this school year, which reduced class sizes in language arts, math and science.

In order to retain these teachers and support the Naviance start-up expenses in 2015/16, we needed to raise at least $184,000. The resources we have received to date total $117,340 which is enough to fund only 3 of those part-time teachers for the next school year. We are $66,000 shy of our goal. Please be assured that all of these funds (along with any donations received prior to June 30th, 2015) will be used to retain the teachers that are vital to reducing class sizes in the coming school year.

Your support and generosity will have a positive impact on your child's educational experience.  Thank you again for your contributions and joining our efforts in "Giving Our Students A Strong Foundation."

With gratitude,

Judy McNeill,                      Patti Morgan,
Principal                             WHS Foundation President

Walton's Rebuild is going to a vote on
April 30th!

The Cobb County School Board met on Wednesday, April 15, to discuss many topics, including the proposed budget for fiscal 2016.  For more information on the budget, please click here.

While the board did not take any action on the Walton rebuild at yesterday's meeting, they are expected to vote at its April 30th meeting.  Once the amendment is approved, the construction process can begin promptly.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Cobb County School Board members for all their work to prepare the Walton Rebuild project for its vote, especially our School Board Member, Scott Sweeney.
