Take Advantage of Top Notch Safety Programs

One topic of conversation at last month's YP Committee meeting came from an announcement by our Grand Traverse County representative, Jen Seman. She cited both Smart 911 and Code Red as beneficial and free services provided to any resident or business in the area. Both are similar in that they strive to protect residents through providing and sharing information. Here is more detail of each service and how to get signed up:

Smart 911: Sign up for Smart911 and create your own Safety Profile to give 911 valuable information about yourself, family members, your home, pets and even vehicles that will automatically display on the 911 dispatch screen when you make an emergency call. It's private and secure and you control what information is in your profile. These details can save valuable seconds or even minutes during an emergency.

To sign up for Smart 911,  Click Here!

Code Red: Sign up for Code Red and take advantage of the emergency notification service to stay informed. Code Red allows emergency officials to notify residents and business by phone, email, and social media regarding emergency and general area information. Any message pertaining to the safety, property or welfare of the community will be shared to you through the Code Red system. Examples include AMBER alerts, hazardous traffic or weather conditions, boil water advisories, or evacuation notices.
