Helping in Our Community Throughout 2015
At our December meeting, 2015 YP Chair Allison Beers asked everyone to bring in nonperishable food items or a monetary donation to go to a food pantry in our region. YPs Josh Janowiak and Courtney Sorrell dropped the food off at the Father Fred Foundation after the meeting, and the folks at Father Fred (Mary, Tab, and Anne in the photo) gave them a tour of the facility.
Our donation was so successful that the YPs unanimously decided to donate to food pantries throughout 2015! If you attend one of the monthly meetings at the Chamber this next year, please bring along a nonperishable food item (or two!) that Josh and Courtney will drop off at a regional pantry after the meeting. It's the easiest way to help those in our community all year long!
Free popcorn, movies, and volunteering ...what's not to love?
Join us for our monthly YP volunteer event at the State Theatre on Tuesday, January 27 from 5:15-7:15 p.m. All volunteers receive a FREE movie voucher and popcorn! Sign up or e-mail Erika Wiltse with questions ([email protected]).
Come Volunteer for Business After Hours in 2015
We are always looking for YPs to work the check-in table at the Chamber's Business After Hours events. There will be plenty of chances to meet and mingle with fellow YPs and Chamber members at BAH in 2015. For more information, or to sign up for one of the upcoming BAH evenings, contact Bridgett Beckwith.
This month's BAH will be January 21 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Corner Loft on Front Street, co-hosted by Corner Loft and Next I.T. We hope to see you there!
