Chamber Mini MBA Registration Open


The Chamber's Mini MBA program developed in conjunction with Ferris State University offers you an opportunity to build your business knowledge and skills through a compact, 9-week education program delivered by a dynamic team of FSU instructors.

 

The fall class begins Sept. 16 and continues through Nov. 11.Click here to learn more and register.

Leadership Grand Traverse (LGT) Applications Now Accepted

Did you know over 750 community members have graduated LGT since the program's inception in 1987? With this track record, it's clear Leadership Grand Traverse is a valuable program that prepares participants for decision-making leadership roles in areas such as policy, program implementation and organizational maintenance.

 LGT Alumni: Are you ready for the next step?

 

 

 

The goal of the LGT Fellows program is to keep Leadership Grand Traverse graduates CONNECTED and ENGAGED, not only to each other but to the community. Through the LGT Fellows program, Alum will be able to LEARN, EXPLORE and ACT upon activities that impact the region. Investment as an LGT Fellow not only offers unique programming but assists in the sustainability of the LGT program and scholarships. Click here for details.

Congratulations to our YPs

 

Bridgett Beckwith has accepted a position as the Director of Marketing for Short's Brewing Company.

 

Grace O'Malley has accepted a position with Traverse City Area Public Schools as a Guest Teacher Specialist.

 

 

Todd Sanders, owner of Sanders Solutions, LLC, was recently unanimously appointed to the Traverse City Area Public Schools Board of Education.

 

 

 

 

Courtney Sorrell orchestrated Northwestern Michigan College's' first ever 24-hour giving challenge on June 12-13, 2014, challenging 100 generous community members and alumni to contribute to NMC and win a $2,400 challenge grant from President Tim Nelson.The 24-hour campaign was a huge success; utilizing multiple social and email communication platforms, as well as volunteers to raise over $20,000 for the NMC Foundation's Annual Fund while exceeding the donor participation goal of 100 donors. 

 

Jessica Wheaton has been promoted to Manager of Energy Services and Key Account at Traverse City Light & Power.  In her new role, Jessica will focus on the implementation of TCL&P's energy efficiency program offerings and work directly with TCL&P's major electrical consumers.
