A Perfect 10 for the SBC
Congratulations to the Top 10 Finalists in the Chamber's Small Business Celebration. Dewey Insurance Kalkaska Business of the Year
The annual Kalkaska Chamber Luncheon is coming up next Wednesday, April 23. Dewey Insurance Agency in Kalkaska is the Chamber's Business of the Year, while long-time community advocate and volunteer Janet Sieting is the Citizen of the Year.
Join us starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Kalkaska Church of Christ to present these community service awards to the deserving recipients. New Video Highlights China Conference
The China Conference sponsored by Northwestern Michigan College International Affairs Forum on June 5-6 in Traverse City will offer businesses an inside look at commerce opportunities with China and feature some of our regional companies already working this fast-growing market. A Turn for the Better
Business Leaders for Michigan released its Michigan Turnaround Plan five years ago with a strategy to be a Top 10 state for jobs, personal income growth and a healthy economy. More than one-third of its recommendations have been implemented, but there's still much work to do. The Chamber will host BLM President/CEO Doug Rothwell on April 30 at 9 a.m. at NMC's Hagerty Center where he'll update northern Michigan's business community on Michigan's economy and how to keep it growing.
