Students walk across campus through the brisk fall air and provide the inspiration for all that we do in the Foundation offices. Whether planning events such as Viva Clackamas, inspiring co-workers to participate in Staff Drive, or working with donors on multi-year pledges and planned gifts, we know that our work and your generosity make it possible for students to obtain Education That Works.
The Foundation Team is thankful for the support of our friends, donors, and supporters. Because of you, the season of giving extends all year long for those wishing for a better life through education, whether pursuing a degree/certificate or enjoying lifelong learning.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

Students are big winners from Viva Clackamas!
|
The CCC Foundation kicked off the 50th birthday celebration of CCC on Saturday, November 7th at The Oregon Golf Club where over 300 guests gathered for Viva Clackamas!
The event began with guests enjoying Monte Carlo style gaming, a photo booth, and old friends catching up with one another. Vegas style entertainment was provided by CCC retirees, current faculty, alumni and current students as guests enjoyed a plated dinner. James Eikrem and Chris Whitten served as emcees for the program and Bill Briare, retired faculty and dean, led the CCC band and vocalists through a medley of songs.
Foundation Board member, Alice Norris, joined our emcees for the fundraising portion of the program and asked guests to join her in making a multi-year pledge to the CCC Foundation. The resulting $300,000 in cash and pledges will secure scholarships for future students.

At CCC we have an annual event called "Staff Drive." Staff and faculty are encouraged to make a financial contribution to the Foundation. Gifts can be one-time gifts, payroll pledges, or credit card transactions. CCC is a leader in the number of staff who participate at each community college in the State. The participation rate this year was 67% participation with gifts totaling $60,000. We are proud to share this news with our supporters as it is just one more way CCC demonstrates its commitment to students.
