CCC alum receives prestigious award |

NAM's Manufacturing Institute chose Lori Luchak-Olund, president Miles Fiberglass & Composites, to receive the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award.
Lori and her family have strong connections to Clackamas Community College. Lori and her son, Alex, are CCC alumni. Lori's father, Lowell Miles, is a long time member of the Foundation Board of Driectors.
The STEP Awards honors women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory-floor to the C suite. On February 6, The Manufacturing Institute recognized 160 recipients of the STEP Awards at a reception in Washington, D.C.
"These 160 women are the faces of exciting careers in manufacturing," said Jennifer McNelly, president, The Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. "We chose to honor these women because they each made significant achievements in manufacturing through positive impact on their company and the industry as a whole.
