Their Vision:  The Arc of Cedar Valley believes that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve inclusion and the right to participate and contribute in all aspects of life.  We will be recognized as a leader and the "voice" for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Arc Cedar Valley is affiliated with the state and national organization making it the largest nonprofit, volunteer organization committed to improving the lives of people with disabilities. 

The Arc Cedar Valley is volunteer-driven in policy and governed by a board of directors. Funding is received from families, community groups, the Cedar Valley United Way, the Community Foundation, grants and other donations.

Job Title:   Program Coordinator for their Waterloo location

The primary function of this position is to ensure that volunteers and children are appropriately enrolled, matched and supported according to Big Brothers Big Sisters standards and practices for child safety and positive impacts on youth. A passion for working with youth facing adversity, proven written and verbal communication skills, and comfort speaking in front of small and large groups required.   A Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field is required, Master's preferred. 3 - 5 years of related work experience required with progressive management responsibilities preferably at the senior management level.
