The CVNA presents a workshop on "It's All About Relationships - The Relationship Era, driven by technology and our need to 'belong.' This new era is one of rapid change and an intense scrutiny on stakeholder relations and customer service initiatives. This program will be presented by Dr. Bill Withers
When: Thursday, June 18, 2015
Time: 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.
Where: Philanthropy Center (US Bank Building, Waterloo, 3rd Floor)
Cost: Free to CVNA members; $25 non-members
Bill is a leadership fellow and full professor at Wartburg College where
he also serves as the assistant director of The Institute for Leadership
Education. He has served many governing boards over the years and currently sits on the board of directors for Iowa Public Television (IPTV).
With over two decades of management and leadership experience in both
business and education, his research has been presented multiple times at the International Conference on Business in Honolulu.
He has both studied and served organizations such as Proctor & Gamble, Ritz-Carlton, Disney, Four Seasons, and Starbucks.
Closer to home, Dr. Withers has won both teacher and advisor of
the year awards, and he continues to specialize in the areas of public relations, quality customer service, organizational change, and leadership.

Grant Applications Being Accepted Now...

The Iowa Women's Foundation (IWF), with support from its Board of Directors and supporters, is accepting applications for its 2016 grants. In 2015, IWF awarded more than $60,000, the largest amount in their history and will award even more in 2016. IWF awards grants to fund Iowa non-profit programs that focus on making lasting improvements to the lives of women and girls. In order to be considered for a grant, non profit organizations must complete an application. Eligibility requirements and the application are available at www.iawf.org. All applications are due by 5:00 p.m. May 29, 2015.
IWF brings together and invests in organizations across Iowa that make women and girls more successful. IWF is the only state-wide organization working to enhance and improve women's economic self-sufficiency. |

Job Title: Part Time Administrative Associate
This person will be responsible for the administration of internal office functions and operations. Duties will include preparation and posting of donor data, input of accounting related data as needed.
This person will also assist with special events and internal reception as needed. This position will be 15 hours weekly
Job Title: Social Services Director of Black Hawk County
This position is responsible for the coordination of all Government and local contracts for all social services programs and institutions. Must have the ability to develop a thorough understanding of community needs as well as the initiative and innovation necessary to address those needs in conceit with The Salvation Army's mission. Assist the Social Services Case Manager with the administration of all Social Service Programs which include disaster services, program design and evaluation for unmet needs, policies and procedures, daily operations, and review and adhere to The Salvation Army and other regulatory standards. Responsible for administration and continuing development of the social service programs, and their components, within Black Hawk County.
