Grant Applications Being Accepted Now...

The Iowa Women's Foundation (IWF), with support from its Board of Directors and supporters, is accepting applications for its 2016 grants. In 2015, IWF awarded more than $60,000, the largest amount in their history and will award even more in 2016.  IWF awards grants to fund Iowa non-profit programs that focus on making lasting improvements to the lives of women and girls.  In order to be considered for a grant, non profit organizations must complete an application. Eligibility requirements and the application are available at www.iawf.orgAll applications are due by 5:00 p.m. May 29, 2015.

 

IWF brings together and invests in organizations across Iowa that make women and girls more successful.  IWF is the only state-wide organization working to enhance and improve women's economic self-sufficiency.

Job Title:   Social Services Director of Black Hawk County


This position is responsible for the coordination of all Government and local contracts for all social services programs and institutions.  M
ust have the ability to develop a thorough understanding of community needs as well as the initiative and innovation necessary to address those needs in conceit with The Salvation Army's mission.  Assist the Social Services Case Manager with the administration of all Social Service Programs which include disaster services, program design and evaluation for unmet needs, policies and procedures, daily operations, and review and adhere to The Salvation Army and other regulatory standards.  Responsible for administration and continuing development of the social service programs, and their components, within Black Hawk County.

Job Title:  Accountant

 

Responsibilities include the interim Financial Statement review and preparation, annual financial audit, general ledger maintenance, and statistical reporting.  Manage the preparation of the audit work papers, tax returns, and the budgeting process throughout the year.  Also assists in general financial analysis through gathering data and reporting results.  Works directly with the Administrator to monitor the department budgets and identifies variances from plan.  The candidate must have a high degree of knowledge and understanding of financial software and Excel with exceptional math, language and reasoning ability.  Qualification for this position include Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field.  A minimum of 3 years experience in bookkeeping, public accounting or health care accounting is preferred.

Job Title:  Residential Manager at the Bremwood Residential Campus in Waverly - LSI is offering up to $5,000 signing bonus for this position.

 

This position is responsible for providing support to the Director of Residential Services in managing the day to day activities of the residential campus. The Residential Manager will provide coordination and oversight of administrative and clinical duties and serves as second in command in the Director's absence. Additionally, this position will coordinate and supervise residential leadership staff and be responsible for budget oversight and program compliance. Participates in the administration on-call rotation.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in social work or a related human service field plus a minimum of seven years of experience in child mental health; four years supervisory experience.
