What:   CFNEIA'S Celebration of Community Event

Join us in thanking those who are creating vibrant communities where all people can thrive.


CFNEIA'S Celebration of Communties event is exactly what the name implies.  It is a public celebration of the communities in northeast Iowa and a way to thank all of those who are involved in the errorts to make them better; nonprofits, fund holders, donors, businesses, volunteers and many more.


Come join us in celebrating the incredible things happening today and the amazing future potenetila creating even more vibrant communities - together!

4th Annual Spooks, Spokes & Sneakers...


What:   Spooks, Spokes & Sneakers Halloween Bike Ride and Run
When:  Saturday, October 11, 2014
Where: Gateway Park - Cedar Falls, Iowa  
Time:   10:00 a.m.
Cost:    Pre-Registration through October 3: $20 for ages 13 and older; $15 for ages 12 and under. Registration fee October 4-11: $25 for ages 13 and older; $20 for ages 12 and under;  Ages 2 and under free

Spooks, Spokes & Sneakers is for runners, walkers, and riders of all levels. Riders choose between the 17 mile Halloween Ride, or the 9 mile Halloweenie Ride. Bike riders will trick-or-treat while runners/walkers get powdered along the Cedar Valley trail system, then join fellow participants for food, fun, and music at Gateway Park in Cedar Falls.

Awards Luncheon - Sign Up Today ...




The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Northeast Iowa Chapter is proud to celebrate National Philanthropy Day´┐Ż (NPD) by honoring Northeast Iowa's philanthropic leaders who have done so much to enrich our communities.  Join in the celebration and recognition of nominees and award recipients by attending the Awards Luncheon

What:  Awards Luncheon

When:  November 13, 2014 

Time:   11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Location:  Hilton Garden Inn, Cedar Falls, IA (7213 Nordic Drive, Cedar Falls, Iowa)

Cost:  Reservations are $40 per person or $300 per table of eight

This year's keynote speaker is Jim Coloff and the guest emcee will be Dee Vandeventer, winner of last year's Philanthropy award.

More Than You See...

We envision a world where society regularly looks past the disability they see to the person within. More Than You See is an entertaining fundraising event which will showcase and celebrate the value persons with disabilities contribute.

What:  Advocacy Workshop with Al Hayes (UNI) who will discuss the technical side and Steve Firman (UnityPoint) will discuss the PR side


Where:  Philanthropy Center (US Bank Building. 425 Cedar Street, Waterloo = 3rd floor)

Possible CVNA Workshop Topics for 2015...


The CVNA planning committee has been working hard this Fall trying to come up with possible workshop topics for 2015.


Here is a sneak peak at some suggestions being looked into:

  • Data Base Management with Ron Giddings from UNI
  • Succession Planning with Steve Firman at UnityPoint
  • Beefing up your 990 with possible speakers for Bergan Paulson and others
  • Explor-A-Ganza event is scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2015
