Please join us for the next Grant Guru on where we will have a round table discussion regarding the UNI grant workshop in which many members attended the first week of March.  There will be some discussion on the do's and don'ts of grant writing along with MANY great resources to share.  Some of these resources include but are not limited to, grant writing websites, foundation websites and additional funding websites.

The Phelps Youth Pavilion will recognize

"The Week of the Young Child"

 

When:  April 6-12, 2014

Cost:   1/2 price admission, $2.50

Times: Sunday 1:00 -5:00 p.m., Closed on Monday's. Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 

Over 40 hands-on, interactive exhibits make learning about art and culture a fun family experience.  The new Junior Art Gallery III exhibit "The Great Bicycle Recycle" provides opportunities to learn about "going green" & making eco-friendly choices.  It also features art using found objects and recycled bicycle parts. 

 

 

Big Brothers Big Sisters will host Bowl for Kids' Sake

Cost:     $22 adults and $11 children

WCP's annual new play uses a garage sale to examine the clutter of a 25-year-old suburban marriage. This comedy centers on a family fighting over what to keep and what to sell and the wonderful shoppers who have squabbles of their own. As nosy neighbors and bargain-hunters thumb through their once-loved junk, Joe and Kate uncover hidden family conflicts that lead to a startling climax.

These two organizations were the winners for the two mini scholarships the CVNA was handing out for early membership renewal.
