Sheila Baird with Cedar Valley United Way will be our moderator for this event again this year.  If you have specific questions you will want to be asked to our State Representatives, please email them to Sheila ahead of time at [email protected].  Time permitting, additional questions will able to asked the day of the event.

"Give Back" Tuesday -- December 3rd
 
 
 
 
 #GivingTuesday will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
  
 
 
 
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa will again participate in the second annual #GivingTuesday campaign, a day set aside to focus on giving back to those in need.  
 
The Community Foundation is hosting a photo/video submission contest on its Facebook page. Three winners will be selected to award a $500 grant to the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization of their choice in the Community Foundation's 24 county and community service area. Participants must take a photo or short video of their giving in some form and post their submission to the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CFNEIA between 12:00am and 11:59pm (CST) on Tuesday, December 3. Community Foundation staff will select winners who will be notified on December 4. 

"We want to multiply the joy of giving by offering the $500 incentive that will be given to their favorite nonprofit," said Kaye M. Englin, President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa. "The Community Foundation wants to uplift this movement and make people aware of the importance of giving back, whether that means they make a financial contribution to a charity, volunteer their time, or just do a good deed."

Job Title:  Director of Development

  

The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa seeks a dynamic Director of Development to join the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa team. This candidate must possess a passion to help donors and fund holders meet their philanthropic goals through gift planning and endowment building options. 

  

The Director of Development will seek support by fostering existing donor relationships and soliciting new contributions through donor cultivation. The candidate will primarily serve Black Hawk County, and must have the ability to collaborate with individuals, businesses and other stakeholders in order to move the CFNEIA mission forward.

Job Title:  Chief Financial Officer
 
The Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber has an opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to oversee the accounting and finance operations of the Alliance & Chamber and associated entities. 
 
Primary duties include preparation of monthly financial reports; developing and monitoring budgets and internal control policies and procedures. Bachelor's degree in accounting with a CPA or CMA designation preferred. 
 
At least 5 years experience as a Controller, CFO or other supervisory accounting role. Proficiency in the utilization of a variety of software applications, with Dynamics Great Plains experience preferred. Must demonstrate use of mature judgment and excellent problem solving skills and analytical ability.

The Food Bank of Northeast Iowa is seeking a cook to prepare meals for the Kids Cafe program.  This person must be able to prepare large volumes of food in accordance with the specific CACFP regulations. Cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen area required.
