Waterloo Community Playhouse presents:
SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE CASE OF THE JERSEY LILY
October 25, 27, 29, 31 and November 1 & 2
Hope Martin Theatre, located inside the Waterloo Center for the Arts at 225 Commercial Street in Waterloo.
This play is full of tricks and treats, making it perfect for the Halloween season.
In the style of the current hit movies and TV series, this show offers a mix of mystery, comedy, romance and Holmesian disguises. Expect both the familiar Sherlock Holmes characters, as well as historical figures from the Edwardian era. Come be ENTERTAINED!!!

Don't Miss The November 2nd Deadline
|
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa is announcing the application deadline for their Women's Fund grant cycle is November 2, 2013. Grants are awarded to support programs and projects benefiting women, girls and their families in Black Hawk County, specifically in the areas of education and literacy; poverty and homelessness; violence and safety; and health and healthcare.
Completed applications must be submitted online no later than November 2, 2013 to be considered for funding. The application form is a part of the Community Foundation's online grant system, and it may be found on the Community Foundation's website at www.cfneia.org.
Grants are awarded during the Women in Philanthropy luncheon on December 10, 2013 at Sunnyside Country Club.
The Women's Fund, as advised by Women in Philanthropy members and the Community Foundation, awards grants to organizations that are able to make the best use of an impact grant. Priority will be given to opportunities that provide a response to critical and urgent needs, initiate bold new ventures, and foster new approaches to ongoing problems. Project requests of up to $10,000 will be accepted.
