Greetings!
 
The children have been on school break for most of the month of August and will be heading back to their boarding schools in early September to begin Term 3 of the 2013 school year. There are numerous school supplies that are needed at the beginning of each term, which creates a huge financial burden on our organization.  We can never fully project all of the additional expenses that will be encountered.  In Uganda, as in the USA, there are hidden costs to almost everything!  
 
Child Evangelical Fellowship (CEF) presented  a very successful program at each of the houses during the month of August.  Each child clearly heard the Gospel message and received essential Biblical instruction.  From all reports, it was a very beneficial day for all of the children as well as their caregivers. Many of the children from the surrounding villages attended, making it all the more worthwhile. Special thanks to Elizabeth Baker for facilitating contact with CEF and making this program available to the children. 
 
We are planning a very special evening with Gospel singer Ray Sydney.  This will be in February 2014 and all proceeds will benefit the Ugandan Lambs Association USA.  If you would like to be involved in planning this event, please contact us by telephone or email. Our first planning meeting will be on September 14, 2013.  
     
This  month we are featuring all of the unsponsored children.  Currently there are 30 children in need of sponsorship.  Please help us find individuals or groups that would be interested in experiencing the JOY of connecting with a wonderful child!
 
We are deeply grateful for our Board members, volunteers, sponsors, and donors who consistently give their time and money to ensure the well being of children half way around the world. May God bless each of you.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH and SPONSORSHIP
CEF at KAYUNGA

The CEF team witnessing at Kayunga was lead by Mr. Male.  He opened in prayer for the children, their home, and surrounding village. Hebrews 9:22 was used as the theme for the Bible study.  The children actively participated in discussion, reading, singing and hymns. The Gospel message was presented and the children surrendered their lives to Jesus.
Each of the children was given the "180 Day Wonder Devotional Book" and was encouraged to read each of the daily sections over the next 6 months.
Prayers, praise music and hymns concluded the day.
Henry Mutumba and Robinah Namboyera gave a thank you speech to the ministry team on behalf of the children.
CEF will be conducting ongoing Bible studies on the campuses of each of the boarding schools to ensure that the children receive ongoing training and have the opportunity to continue their spiritual growth.  
CEF at NAMUGONGO

The CEF team for Namugongo was lead by Ms. Margaret.  She followed the same format as Mr. Male and lead the children through Bible study, music, praise, and clearly presented the Gospel message.  Each child received the "180 Day Wonder Book" and surrendered their lives to Jesus.  
At both houses, the discussion included self-esteem, love, respect for elders, and overcoming challenges. 
Jessica Mbeka and Louis Ssonko thanked the ministry team on behalf of the children.
