The Willard R-II Board of Education voted 7-0 to give patrons an opportunity to vote on a $15.2 Million bond issue that would fund several capital needs identified by parents and school leaders.  To service the bonds the Debt Service Levy would be increased by fifteen cents.

These projects focus primarily on 2 issues facing our schools:

1.  Continued growth requiring additional space and facilities
The district has grown by 300 students the past 2 years and by over 1000 students in the last decade.

2.  Older facilities that need renovation
The past couple of bond issues were used primarily to build new schools to keep up with enrollment growth. In this bond issue the largest projects are re-investments back into our older, existing facilities like North Elementary and Intermediate schools that need renovation.
