This year, Christmas is once again enlivened by its yearly Christmas casts: Santa, Grinch, Snowman, Baby Jesus, Rudolph, Green Elf, and of course our own beautiful children.
Wait! Notice. It is so easy to loose Christ in Christ-mas. Because for others, baby Jesus is just one of the casts. Some people have tried to keep the joy of the season but not the essence of it: celebrating the holiday without becoming religious. But God is not seeking for religiosity. God is simply reminding us that without Christ,
"______" mas is incomplete.
In simple ways, we can spread this news: when your kids are looking at the nativity, explain why God was laying in the manger; quote a bible verse in your Christmas card; lead the Christmas dinner prayer; surprise someone with a generous gift and say, God made you do it.
Also let us celebrate Christ-mas as a Church family:
Blue Christmas Service-December 18, at 6:00 p.m.
Christmas Eve Service-December 23, at 11:00 p.m.
Advent Bible Study-Every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
Remember, every time you greet someone Merry Christmas, you are wishing Christ in their lives. With that greeting therefore, is a great opportunity to bless others and perhaps even change lives.
Have a Christ-filled Christmas!
