JULY EVENTS

June 7- August 25th: Water Aerobics at Hanna Springs Pool. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Contingent on staff and lifeguard availability. Contact 512-556-4048 or call 512-734-1315.

June 21 - July 1: Swim Lessons  (Session 2) at Hanna Springs Pool from 9-11:30am. Contact 512-556-4048.

July 4: City Offices and Library will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2016 in observance of Independence Day. Waste Management will also be closed. Service will resume the next business day. For more information, please contact 512-556-6831.

July 4-10: Spring Ho Festival. Contact 512-556-5301.

July 6: Beta Mu Story Time at the Library at 10am. Contact 512-556-3251.

July 7: Curtis Bozarth Senior Classic at 8am at the Hancock Park Golf Course. During this tournament the golf course will be closed. Contact Golf Pro Shop at 512-556-3202.

July 8-9: Lampasas Hot as Hell Spring Ho BBQ Cook-Off. Contact Chamber of Commerce 512-556-5172.

July 9: Lampasas Public Library will be closed.

July 9: Annual Toughest 10k in Texas Race & 5k Race from 8-11am. Contact Chamber of Commerce 512-556-5172.

July 9: Spring Ho Water Sports & Cardboard Regatta at Hanna Springs Pool from 3-5pm. Contact 512-556-4048.

July 11: The Texas Teen-Age Baseball District Tournament will take place at 5pm at the Turner Field Baseball Complex. Double elimination bracket. Contact Bubba Kirkpatrick at 512-734-2428.

July 13: West Texas Jr. Golf Tour will be held at 9am at the Hancock Park Golf Course. Contact Golf Pro Shop at 512-556-3202.

July 13: Beta Mu Story Time at the Library at 10am. Contact 512-556-3251.

July 16-17: Britches & Bows tournament will be held at the Hancock Park Golf Course from 8am-1pm. During this tournament the golf course will be closed. Contact Golf Pro Shop at 512-556-3202.

July 16: Come enjoy a moonlight swim at the Hancock Free Flow Swimming Pool along with live music (Rivera Brothers). There will be a pot-luck supper (attendees are asked to bring a covered dish), drinks will be provided. General admission is $3.50/per adult and $2.50/per child/senior. July 21: "Let's Talk Party Planning!" with wedding planner Rachel Finney Harris at 6pm at the Lampasas Public Library. Contact 512-556-3251.

July 23: Dive-In Movie Night at Hanna Springs Pool at 8:30pm. Popcorn will be provided. Purchased ticket is required even if you have a season pass. Normal pool rules will apply. Ti
ckets will be available at Hanna Springs Pool. All ages welcome. Those who can't swim must wear coast approved life jacket and be within arm's reach of an adult (18 or over) at all times. Contact Pool Manager at 512-734-1315.

Library Online Catalog: Check out the Library online catalog. When you log in, you can access your account,place reserves, and renew materials... all online, from the comfort of your home. Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to photocontest@cityoflampasas.com . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed theron that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
