APRIL EVENTS

April 2: Local Author Denetra Moore Story Time at the Library at 10:30am. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

April 2:
Annual Bloomin' Fest from 9am-6pm at the Downtown Courtyard Square. Contact Chamber 512-556-5172.

April 2: Spring Sip & Stroll at the Downtown Courtyard Square from 10am-6pm. Contact Chamber 512-556-5172.

April 9: Lampasas Hillacious Bike Ride. Registration is at North Ave. & South Western St.This bike ride benefits the Lampasas Chamber of Commerce, LAFTA, and Vision Lampasas. There will be routes of 13, 33, 47 and 63 miles with rest stops along the way and support on the route. Preregistration is $35 and registration the week of is $45. Register at the Chamber of Commerce or on BikeReg.com. 5 routes 10 - 60 miles. Food and refreshments free to riders at end of ride. FREE t-shirt to 1st 300 registrations.

PUBLIC UTILITIES NOTIFICATION

Utility Customers: Please be aware that a scam has been targeting utility customers.Lampasas Public Utilities will not call and advise you that you need to pay your bill or you will be disconnected. Please do not give out your information to anyone that claims you must make a payment as soon as possible. The process for the utility accounts is as follows: LPU sends out the bill in the mail, if the bill is not paid by the due date, then a late notice is placed in the mail, and after the late notice due date, a door tag will be placed on the door prior to the account being disconnected. Please call at 512-556-3641 if you have any questions regarding your account.

Library Online Catalog: Check out the Library online catalog. When you log in, you can access your account,place reserves, and renew materials... all online, from the comfort of your home. Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to photocontest@cityoflampasas.com . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed theron that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
