NOVEMBER EVENTS

 

November (all month): Food Drive for the Lampasas Mission. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

 

November 2-December 4: Fall Brush Chipping Program. Contact Lampasas Public Works 512-556-8315. 

 

November 4: "Harvest/Fall" Preschool Story Time at the Library at 10am. Contact Library 512-556-3251. 

 

November 6: Hunter's Welcome at the HEB parking lot from 9am- 3pm. The BBQ lunch is $8.00 and includes a Texas size BBQ sandwich with all the fixin's, chips, cookie and drink. The first 250 people in line get a goodie bag that is a hunter's dream! Contact Chamber of Commerce 512-556-5172.

 

November 7: City Wide Garage Sale at the Lampasas Historic Downtown Square from 8am-3pm. Contact Andy Berry 512-556-5434.

 

November 10: "How Pinteresting!" Card Making Class at the Library from 5-7pm. $5 to cover cost of materials. Deadline to sign up is November 2. Contact Library 512-556-3251. 

 

November 11: City offices and Library will be closed in observance of Veteran's Day. Trash services will run on schedule.    

November 18: "Eating Healthy" Preschool Story Time at the Library at 10am. Contact 512-556-3251.

 

November 21: Bling N Things pre-owned jewelry and holiday decorations sale at the Library from 10am-3pm. Fundraiser sponsored by the Lampasas Public Library Advisory Board. Contact 512-556-3251.  

 

November 26-28: City offices and Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holidays. Trash services should be one day behind starting Friday. Thursday's pickup will be Friday and Friday's pickup will be on Saturday.

 FALL BRUSH CHIPPING PROGRAM
              
The City will begin its brush chipping program in November. The pick up dates, areas and rules for the brush chipping program are as follows:

November 2, - November 6, 2015                   Northwest section of the city. West of Key                                                                                  Avenue and north of First Street.
 
November 9 , - November 13, 2015                Southwest section of the city. West of Key                                                                                  Avenue and south of First Street.
 
November 16, - November 20, 2015                Southeast section of the city. East of Key                                                                                     Avenue and south of First Street.
 
November 23, - November 25, 2015                Northeast section of the city. East of Key                                                                                     Avenue and north of First Street.
 
November 26, - November 27, 2015                City of Lampasas will be closed for Holidays
 
November 30, - December 4, 2015                 Continue of Northeast section of the city.
                                                                  Finish up all sections of city brush chipping.
 
NOTE:
City sponsored brush chipping will occur only during designated weeks and designated areas.
           
The following are the guidelines for the City's Brush Chipping Program.
 
                        - The brush is no longer than four feet in length;
                        - No lumber or trash will be picked up; and
                        - The bundle must be out by the curb, no alley pick up.

Library Online Catalog: Check out the Library online catalog. When you log in, you can access your account,place reserves, and renew materials... all online, from the comfort of your home. Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to photocontest@cityoflampasas.com . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed theron that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
