JUNE EVENTS
  
June: Summer Library Reading Club for the month of June. Contact Library at 512-556-3251.
 
June 2-August 23: 2015 Pool Season. Hanna Pool Season opens June 2nd Tues.-Sat. 12-7pm. Sun. 1-6pm. Closed Mondays. Hancock Pool Season opens June 4th Thurs.-Sat. 12-7pm. Sunday 1-6pm. Closed Mon., Tues. & Wed. Contact Hanna Pool for more information 512-556-4048.

June 2: Water Aerobics starts. Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7-8pm at Hanna Springs Pool. $8 per class or $40 (8 classes). Contact Pool Manager at 512-734-1315.
 
June 5: The Department of Public Works 4-Person golf tournament will be held at 8am. During this tournament the golf course will be closed. For more information contact Golf Pro Shop at 512-556-3202.

June 5-6: The annual camping and kid fish event will be held at W.M. Brook Park. Registration will be held on Friday, June 5th at 6pm followed by a hot dog supper, movie in the park, and campfire fun. Participants can then go camping or fishing. Kid fishing will occur through Saturday, June 6th until 12pm. Awards and presentations will be given out from 12-1pm. For more information, contact Micky Tower at 512-734-1076.

June 6: Come enjoy a moonlight swim at the Hancock Free Flow Swimming Pool along with Texas Bluegrass Music performed by the Seiker Band from 8pm-11pm. There will be a pot-luck supper (attendees are asked to bring a covered dish), drinks will be provided. Contact Micky Tower 512-734-1076.

June 9 - July 24: Swim lessons at Hanna Springs Pool at 9am, 10am, and 11am. (June 9-19) (June 23-July 3) (July 14-24). Contact Pool Manager at 512-734-1315.

June 13: The 29th annual Sulphur Creek Car Cruise is scheduled for Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at W.M. Brook Park. Awards, door prizes, cash prizes, burn out competition, awards, BBQ dinner and so much more! Hosted by Advanced Window Tint. Contact 512-556-3745 for more information.

June 17: The West Texas Jr. Golf Tour will be held on June 17, 2015 at 9:00am. For more information contact Golf Pro Shop at 512-556-3202.

June 20: Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce Foundation Golf Classic. Contact Chamber of Commerce 512-556-5172.

June 27: "Movie in the Park" is scheduled for Saturday at W.M. Brook Park at dusk. Movie TBA. Bring your lawn chairs & snacks. No concessions available. For more information, contact Micky at 512-734-1076.

Library Online Catalog: Check out the Library online catalog. When you log in, you can access your account,place reserves, and renew materials... all online, from the comfort of your home. Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to photocontest@cityoflampasas.com . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed theron that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
