2015 CITY COUNCIL ELECTION
  
The City of Lampasas is holding a General Election on May 9, 2015 for the purpose of electing Mayor and City Council members. Candidates include:

Mayor: (Expired term)  Jerry Grayson -incumbent - Christian Toups - Place Holder 2

Place 1: (Expired term) Wanda Bierschwale - incumbent- Kouwende "KC" Cann - Chris Harrison

Place 2: (Expired term) Robert McCauley- Regina Bertrand

Place 6: (Expired term) TJ Monroe (incumbent) - Jennifer Centunzi

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at the Elections Administrator Office, 407 S. Pecan, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. beginning on April 27, 2015 and ending on May 5, 2015.

Additional early voting will be held as follows:

Tuesday, April 28, 2015 7:00 a.m. -7:00 p.m. Elections Administration Office
Monday, May 4, 2015 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Elections Administration Office

May 7: Annual Ft. Hood Welcome Party at the Crawford Party House at 6pm. tickets must be purchased at the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce Office by Tuesday, May 5th. Ticket price is $20 for Chamber members and $30 for Non-Chamber members. Contact Chamber of Commerce at 512-556-5172.
 
May 9: High School Fund-Raiser 3-Person Scramble. Contact Golf Pro Shop 512-556-3202.

May 9: City Council General Election. Voting will take place at the Elections Administration Office located at 407 S. Pecan St. from 7am-7pm.

May 10: Mother's Day. Shop Lampasas for that special gift for that special lady!

May 13: "Earth and Moon" Library preschool story time at 10am at the Library. Contact 512-556-3251.

May 18: Summer Reading registration opens at the Library. Contact 512-556-3251.

May 23-25: 65th Annual A.C. January Memorial Day Tournament. Contact Golf Pro Shop at 512-556-3202.
 
May 23: Hanna Pool and Hancock Pool open from 12-7pm.

May 25: City offices & Library closed in observance of Memorial Day. Trash service will run one day behind the entire week.

Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to photocontest@cityoflampasas.com . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed theron that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
