 POOL HOURS

 

During the month of September, Hanna Springs Pool and Hancock Springs Pool will be open on weekends only contingent on lifeguard availability. For more information, contact 512-556-6831.

September 1: City offices and Library will be closed in observance of Labor Day. Trash service will run a day behind the entire week due to the holiday.

 

September 10: Library pre-school story time at the Library at 10am. Contact Library 512-556-3251.

 

September 20: Catholic Church 4-Person Scramble at 9am. During this tournament, the golf course will be closed. Contact Golf Pro Shop 512-556-3202.

LIBRARY NEWS
  
The library will be under construction for several months. Please continue to come to the library! They will be open regular hours as much as possible throughout this process; however, there will be times that the library will need to be closed. Any closures will be posted on the Library's and City's Facebook pages and the City's website. Please be aware that the library will not be quiet due to construction. Please also understand that they are unable to make all materials available at all times during this process. However, if a book you are looking for is unavailable, we will be glad to request it for you from another library.

 HELP US LOCATE YOU IN AN EMERGENCY
  

Help the Lampasas Fire Department, Lampasas Police Department and EMS find you when you need help, we are asking that you please put your address on your house. Below is a copy of the city ordinance to use as a guideline.

Under Sec. 18-361 & Sec. 18-363 of the Lampasas, Texas, Code of Ordinances

"It shall be the duty of the owner and the occupant of every house, building and structure within the city to have a house number placed thereon that is conspicuous and readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces."

 

 1. Numbers or letters shall be a minimum of three inches in height and shall consist of durable  

     material which will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably.

 

2. Numbers shall sufficiently contrast with the background on which they are placed so as to be

    readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces.

  

3. Peel-off or adhesive backed numbers and numbers painted on the curb shall not meet the

    requirements. (Note: While numbers painted on curbs will not work per the code as a primary it is 

    good backup, if you would like to have both numbering on your house and the curbs, this is totally

    optional).

Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to [email protected] . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

First Call Emergency Notification System: In an effort to improve communication with the public, during emergency situations, the City of Lampasas is implementing the FirstCall Emergency Notification System. In the event of an emergency FirstCall will send alerts to you via phone, email, or text notifications.To be sure that all affected citizens of the city and county can be contacted, we are encouraging everyone to sign up for the FirstCall system by filling out the registration form found at http://alertregistration.com/LampasasTX/ .

 

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
