2014 SPECIAL ELECTION

The City of Lampasas is holding a special election on May 10, 2014 for the purpose of adopting of a ceiling or limitation on the City Ad Valorem Tax levy of a person who is sixty-five (65) years of age or older who makes application for and receives a homestead exemption. 

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at the Elections Administrator Office, 407 S. Pecan, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00p.m. beginning on April 28, 2014 and ending on May 6, 2014.

Additional early voting will be held as follows:

Tuesday, April 29, 2014 7:00a.m. - 7:00p.m. Elections Administration Office

Monday, May 5, 2014 7:00a.m. - 7:00p.m. Elections Administration Office

Applications for ballot by mail shall be mailed to:

 2014 CITY COUNCIL ELECTION WILL NOT BE HELD

   

The City of Lampasas will not be holding a General Election on May 10, 2014 due to the following candidates being unopposed. The following candidates are declared elected to office, and shall be issued certificates of election following the time the election would have been canvassed. Oaths will be taken on May 27, 2014.

May 1: Lampasas Middle School District Golf Tournament. During this tournament the golf course will be closed. Contact Golf Pro Shop 512-556-3202.

May 19th - June 1st: National Memorial Day Holiday Click It or Ticket Mobilization. Click It or Ticket (CIOT) is the most successful seat belt enforcement campaign ever, helping to increase the national seat belt usage rate. Coast to coast, day or night, the message is simple - Click It or Ticket.
  
May 24-26: Hanna Springs Pool & Hancock Springs Pool open for Memorial Day weekend. Contact Nicole 512-734-1315.
  
May 24-26: Annual A.C. January Memorial Day Golf Tournament. During this tournament the golf course will be closed. Contact Golf Pro Shop 512-556-3202.
  
May 26: City offices and Library closed in observance of Memorial Day. Trash services will run one day behind the entire week.

Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to photocontest@cityoflampasas.com . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

First Call Emergency Notification System: In an effort to improve communication with the public, during emergency situations, the City of Lampasas is implementing the FirstCall Emergency Notification System. In the event of an emergency FirstCall will send alerts to you via phone, email, or text notifications.To be sure that all affected citizens of the city and county can be contacted, we are encouraging everyone to sign up for the FirstCall system by filling out the registration form found at http://alertregistration.com/LampasasTX/ .

 

Can You Be Located In An Emergency? The owner of every house or building within the City is required to have a house number placed theron that is readily visible from the public right-of-way on which the structure fronts or faces. The numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height and contrast with the background on which they are placed, made of material that will not tarnish, corrode or deteriorate unreasonably. Not only will this assist emergency personnel but the US Postal service as well.
