VOLUNTARY WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES

  

Due to drought conditions and reduced levels of water in Stillhouse Hollow Lake, which serves as the City's raw water reservoir, the City of Lampasas is still at voluntary water conservation measures. Brazos River Authority has requested that water usage be reduced five percent (5%). Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

 

HOLIDAY WASTE MANAGEMENT SCHEDULE
 

The Week of New Years, Waste Management will run on Monday, then be one day behind the remainder of the week. Tuesday will be on Wednesday, and Thursday will be on Friday and Friday's on Saturday.

A farewell to City Secretary/asst. City Manager Stacy Brack. We appreciate all of your dedicated efforts and time for the City of Lampasas (24 years). We will miss you greatly! Reception on December 26th at City Hall. Time to be announced. Contact City Hall 556-6831.
  
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR RETIRES

McCoy Tree Trimming: Will start tree trimming at the end of December for the City of Lampasas and will be here for about 9 weeks. Areas will be door tagged before trimming is done in the area.

 

Tap Dance Classes: (Tuesdays) Intermediate Class at 5:30pm and Beginner Class at 6:00pm. Contact Beverly Jones 556-8405.

 

January 1: City offices & Library closed in observance of New Years.

  

January 9: "Dinosaurs" Story Time at the Library at 10am. Contact Library 556-3251.

Photo-of-the-Month Contest: Enter our photo-of-the-month contest by visiting www.cityoflampasas.com for contest rules and emailing your photo to photocontest@cityoflampasas.com . The City Council will announce the monthly winning photo at the first regular City Council meeting. Winners will receive a City of Lampasas insulated tumbler w/straw and posting of their photo on the web site.

 

First Call Emergency Notification System: In an effort to improve communication with the public, during emergency situations, the City of Lampasas is implementing the FirstCall Emergency Notification System. In the event of an emergency FirstCall will send alerts to you via phone, email, or text notifications.To be sure that all affected citizens of the city and county can be contacted, we are encouraging everyone to sign up for the FirstCall system by filling out the registration form found at http://alertregistration.com/LampasasTX/ .
