NEWS FROM ERIN AND SUSAN!

Erin Kennedy is the new Regional Director of Sales for Intermountain Management. She describes it more candidly as General Problem Solver. She gets to live in Billings (though her cat, Sirius Black, would argue with that), while her schedule is roughly designed to put her on the road three weeks and home one. She spoke to me from Seattle, where she’s been already three weeks (and expects at least one more). Then she is scheduled to be home for a few days before she is off to Arkansas (last minute change, make that …) Tulsa for a month. She did smugly tell me the sun was shining in Seattle today (a moment in passing, in my opinion). The bottom line … she loves her new job! Intermountain Management is headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana, and currently manages over 300 hotels across the U.S. with several new properties in the planning and building process.

Susan Murphy is the Director of Sales at the 320 Ranch in Gallatin Gateway. She sends us all this message: “Gosh, thanks for thinking of me!  All I can say is that I am so blessed to have the life that I enjoy!  Hope that all is great with all of you as well!”

BAKKEN BUSINESS

Bakken Oil Field now includes The Three Forks Formation - Redefines the Keystone XL pipeline in  Montana

May 1, 2013   E&E Publishing, LLC

A new assessment of oil and gas reserves by the U.S. Geological Survey concludes that industry could have access to almost double the amount of hydrocarbons previously calculated in parts of North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana. That rapid increase in the reserve estimate comes mainly from a first-time assessment of the Bakken Shale's sister geologic zone underlying it, the Three Forks Formation.

The northern route [of the Keystone XL line] passes right through the Bakken and Three Forks oil fields, in eastern Montana. Jeff Share, editor of Pipeline & Gas Journal, said that this routing was strategic.  Read more
