MC Economic Advisory Group to Consider Regulatory Reform

County Executive Ike Leggett has tasked his Economic Advisory Group, consisting of a number of business executives, to help County government improve the quality of its services to business through an "Excellence in Business Services" initiative.  The group recognizes that the County's regulatory environment is often burdensome and complex and can stifle economic activity. The group has been tasked with undertaking "Regulatory Reform" by identifying potential areas of improvement and making recommendations for change.  Its first step is to reach out to the business community for input on regulations that can be streamlined or changed. GSSCC and other chambers have been asked to assist in contacting our members seeking suggestions for change. If you have recommendations for County government's interaction with business that you think would improve efficiency and competitiveness, please contact Jane Redicker. Or, you can direct your comments directly to either Lily Qi , Assistant CAO, or Doug Bregman, who is coordinating this initiative for the group.

Forum Theatre is now performing Blackberry Winter, a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere written by Steve Yockey and starring Holly Twyford. Blackberry Winter is a universal tale of the responsibilities we shoulder for those we love, the pain of losing them, and the strength we find inside ourselves to carry on. GSSCC members and friends enjoy a $10 discount. Order tickets and use discount code "CHAMBER".
