* Shepherd's Table will celebrate its move into new facilities that will allow it to expand services to the community at an event scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, April 9, at AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center. * Silver Spring Green invites GSSCC member businesses to join the organization in participating in this year's Montgomery County GreenFest, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at the Takoma Park Community Center. Exhibitor information is available here.
* Join Linda Schoengold of The Tower Companies' "Tower TREE Team" on May 7 in Washington, DC for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Click here to donate or join the team.
* Pepco is providing 1,350 trees to customers in the greater metropolitan Washington D.C. region, through the company's Energy-Saving Trees program. Customers can request up to two free trees by visiting www.arborday.org/pepco, or by calling 1-855-670-2771. The 18-inch to 36-inch trees that will be delivered directly to customers include Eastern Redbud, Crepe Myrtle, River Birch, Red Maple, Northern Red Oak, and are in small containers that allow for the growth of a better root system.
* Docs In Progress's 2016 Intro to Documentary Production students produced a short documentary video profiling "The Makers" Catylator Makerspace. Watch the video here.

* Young Professional's Network Meeting - RESCHEDULED - 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13
* Economic Development Committee Meeting - 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 21. Mike Madden, Maryland Department of Transportation, will outline the most recent alignment and plans for The Purple Line, recently approved by Governor Hogan.
* Government Affairs Committee - Postponed until next month after the General Assembly session and hearings on the County Executive's proposed FY17 budget.
* Membership Development Committee - 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26
About GSSCC Committee/Team Meetings: All GSSCC members are welcome to participate in Chamber committees. Members are welcome to attend committee meetings to assess interest in joining a committee. Meetings are typically held in the GSSCC Conference Room. Advance RSVP is required and priority will be given to existing committee members when speakers are scheduled.
